Wix have been going from strengh to strengh with millions of websites build by them and some very sophisticated professional features for it’s paid services.
The most prominent component of Wix’s offer is it’s stunning graphics. The entire service is based on Flash technology which provides a very rich user experience. However, the cart blanch of creativity can be overwhelming and may be an overkill for simpler websites. Also, if you visitors have slower Internet connections they may have some difficulty browsing the site. It’s absolutely perfect for people wanting to provide a high design feel.
Weebly is a personal favorite with us, with its simple drag and drop interface and creating a full website. Weebly has also embedded a great analytics tool, video hosting and formatting tools which really make it ideal for small businesses and personal websites. In general we found that the site really serves users well if they need a flexible solution which is also friendly to search engines.
Recently Weebly have added dozens and dozens of new designs to their site and released a really nifty new control panel, or dashboard. They work very well with their community and seem to deliver many features that there are for by their community.
Yola is quite similiar to Weebly but has a few differentiating factors that are worth mentioning. You can change your meta-data page by page, this makes your site extra friendly for search engiens to index (giving you higher visibility in search engine results, like Google or Bing). They also have 24/7 online customer support and an active support community. In addition they have many online tutorials, videos and webinars. As such Yola might be a good choice if you feel you will need a lot of support during the website creation process.
